2010 Maybach 57S

A tauter 2010 Maybach 57S suspension configuration with a lower ride height gives the 2010 Maybach 57Ssharper handling and a slightly sportier ride. The 57 S was designed with owner-drivers in mind — a departure from the typical chauffeur-driven arrangement. The 2010 Maybach 57Sis a high-performance variant of Maybach’s 57 ultra-luxury sedan. The “S” stands for “Special” rather than “Sport,” as many people wrongly assume. Power comes from a 6.0-liter bi-turbo V12 engine tuned by Mercedes-Benz’s AMG division.

The motor produces 604 horsepower between 4800 and 5100 rpm. A massive 738 pound-feet of torque is available between 2000 rpm and 4000 rpm, offering a large amount of low-end thrust.

The car’s exterior conveys this more aggressive slant with a number of visual enhancements. These include a modified front end with a redesigned radiator and lighting units, 20-inch spoked wheels, discreet “57 S” lettering on the wing beneath the A-pillars and on the boot lid, and single-tone paintwork in black or silver reserved for the 2010 Maybach 57S. At the rear a redesigned apron with two new, trapezoidal exhaust tailpipes indicate the performance potential of the 2010 Maybach 57S.

The interior has been modified with hand-finished materials that create a distinctive and exclusive look. Particularly in the driver’s direct field of vision, carefully coordinated applications of piano lacquer and sporty carbon fiber create an atmosphere of performance and elegance. Newly designed leather upholstery helps accentuate this overall impression.
